The player at the right has a split.

A split is a term in bowling used to show when two pins, which both have a from each other, are left after all others are knocked down.

To get a split spare, a player must put enough spin on the ball to knock down one and cause that pin to hit the other, or in 100-Pin Game, they can bounce the ball off of the gutter guard, which will sometimes knock both of pins down.
